OVERVIEW

Expanding the tournament Scrabble community by reducing barriers to participation is an important priority for us. To encourage newcomers to give tournament Scrabble and the Collins lexicon a try, we offer free or reduced entry fee for every player’s first five CoCo tournaments, as detailed below:

100% off your first CoCo tournament
80% off your second CoCo tournament
60% off your third CoCo tournament
40% off your fourth CoCo tournament
20% off your fifth CoCo tournament

To receive these Newcomer benefits, sign up using the form below. If you haven't played a CoCo tournament before, we’ll send you a discount code to get free entry at your first tournament. If you have already played a CoCo tournament -- but fewer than five -- you are still eligible for discounted tournament entry! Just complete the form below and we will send you an appropriate discount code for your next tournament.

If you would like to claim a newcomer discount for an upcoming tournament, wait to register for the tournament until after you receive your newcomer discount code. Use that code at checkout. To ensure fair treatment of all players and to preserve the sanity of directors and volunteers who handle tournament budgets, we do not refund entry fees or retroactively issue newcomer discounts after a player has already registered for a tournament. We appreciate your understanding and support in ensuring our ability to continue offering this discounts program.

The funds to support these discounts come from the CoCo’s general nonprofit budget, which means that each individual tournament’s prize pool remains fully funded. The many people who have donated to the CoCo make these efforts to grow our community possible.
