Membership
BASIC MEMBERSHIP
We host tournaments and provide learning resources for people all over the world. We are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and believe that Scrabble should be accessible to anyone with an interest in wordplay. To lower barriers to tournament participation, we grant a free basic membership to anyone who directs, organizes, or plays a live or virtual CoCo tournament. Our tournaments are open to everyone, whether you are a current CoCo member or not. To encourage first-time newcomers and players new to the Collins lexicon to give our tournaments a try, we’re proud to offer newcomer discounts. Basic memberships do not expire. Everyone with a basic membership has the right to vote in annual CoCo elections.
PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP
CoCo Premium Memberships are an optional, higher membership tier and are a great way to support the community we’re working hard to build. Premium Memberships strengthen our efforts to become a recognized member of WESPA by showing that the CoCo has significant support among the North American Scrabble community. Premium Memberships provide the funds that make it possible for directors to offer more and better tournaments and resources for everyone. Whether you’re an active player or simply want to support the CoCo community, we’d love to have you as a Premium Member.
Premium Membership gives you a $15 discount off the entry fee at every tournament and costs only $30 per year. That means that if you play two tournaments a year, your Premium Membership pays for itself!
RENEWING YOUR PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP
Your Premium Membership lasts for one year from the date of purchase. If you renew your Premium Membership before it expires, you'll receive a one-time discount code for an extra $5 off your next tournament entry. That's on top of the $15 discount you already receive as a Premium Member!
You can renew your Premium Membership any time up until the day that it expires to receive the $5 bonus discount. If you renew early, we'll extend your Premium Membership for a full year from the date when it would have expired.
Forgot to renew your Premium Membership before it expired? Don't worry - you can sign up again any time by adding a Premium Membership to your cart in the CoCo Play Store.
