The deadline to sign up for Word Cup is days away

It was way back in early January when we first announced that Word Cup 2026 was open for registration, and the field has been gradually building ever since. We've gotten a signup here, a tentative player there, and we've slowly built up a pretty impressive entrants list over time. As of this writing, we're sitting pretty at 45 CSW players - a total that I reckon is pretty close to where we'll finally land.

But - but but but! - there's still a little bit of time for that to change.

We are now six days out from the deadline to register for Word Cup. So, for anyone out there that's still sitting on the fence, mulling that final decision, now is the time to hop off the fence and act. It's this week or never.

If you jump in now, you'll be seizing your chance to play one of the marquee Scrabble events of the year. I mean, first of all, look at this field. It's a veritable who's who of national and world champions and other luminaries of Scrabble, and this is your chance to go head-to-head against this group for 31 games over 5 days. We've got a competitive field, juicy prize money, and more. Division 1 is strong at the top and deep, too; Division 2 features a diverse field of intermediate and novice players. There's a little something for everyone.

As for the host city, Williamsburg might be a little bit off the beaten path, but we're hoping that you all may end up finding it kinda sorta sneaky awesome. It's a charming town, and the nearby Colonial Williamsburg area has a lot to offer. Plus the venue itself, the Williamsburg Lodge, is a super-nice four-star hotel. Not too shabby.
