BlitzChamps Week 2: The action heats up
We're now two weeks into the World Blitz Scrabble Championship. Let's take a look at some notable developments from these first two weeks and what they mean for the tournament moving forward.

Recapping Week 1 of the World Blitz Scrabble Championship
We're now wrapping up the first round of the World Blitz Scrabble Championship and, my goodness, it's been an action-packed tournament so far. Collectively, we played 324 games of Scrabble in a span of 4 days. There was action around the clock.

Unveiling the field for the World Blitz Scrabble Championship
Three weeks ago, we first announced the World Blitz Scrabble Championship to the public. Now, 80 signups and a bunch of directorial legwork later, we're ready to go! The roster of players is set, and tonight, we'll be announcing the groups for pool play in a live broadcast.

We're 1 week out from the World Blitz Scrabble Championship
As of this writing, we've got a total of 63 people in the field. There's still about a week until registration closes, as we'll be accepting new sign-ups until Monday, Jan. 25 at midnight GMT.

An update on the CoCo club and BlitzChamps
We may only be a few days into the new year, but we've already hit the ground running on our plans for virtual Scrabble play in 2021. So far in January, we've already begun a virtual club and held four sessions, and we've announced the upcoming World Blitz Scrabble Championship as well.

Announcing the World Blitz Scrabble Championship
Last week, we announced the start of CoCo virtual club sessions, which give Collins players the chance to meet up on Woogles twice a week and play casual games. Today, we unveil our second big offering of 2021. Introducing: the World Blitz Scrabble Championship!

Announcing CoCo virtual club sessions!
We are extremely pleased to invite you to join us in our new endeavor: CoCo virtual club sessions, to be held twice a week on Woogles.io! Huge thanks to the Woogles team for the fabulous new platform they have created this year. We are so grateful to partner with them.

A word from the CoCo's treasurer
Hi, everyone. I'm Peter Armstrong, and I'm now serving as treasurer for the newly elected CoCo board of directors. I thought I'd share a few introductory words about myself, then discuss CoCo's finances as well as some of our plans for 2021.

Wrapping up the inaugural year of CoCo tournaments
Instead of meeting up in Seattle or Oakland or New York or St. Louis, we all got together on our computers this year. But nine tournaments is still nine tournaments, and we're proud of the year we had as an organization. Today, let's take a moment and recap the virtual events we ran in 2020.

Recapping the eighth and final Computer Users' Remote Event
This weekend brought the eighth installment of our Computer Users' Remote Event (CURE) series of online 1-day tournaments. It was a simple event - eight players, seven games, full round robin. Everyone played everyone once, and we streamed the whole event on Twitch for a live audience. Here's what went down.

An update on the CoCo's governance teams
While we haven't been able to direct many live tournaments in 2020, we've had plenty of time to work on building an infrastructure for the CoCo. We added a Board of Directors in October, and we've simultaneously been working to build five teams of people focused on five key strategic priorities.

We've got a lot to be thankful for
It's been a rocky year for Scrabble. Tournaments all over North America and around the world have been cancelled. The community has been rattled by a series of off-the-board controversies. Despite all that, we're blessed as a community in a lot of ways.

How can we make the most of Woogles?
We're super excited about Woogles, and we want to explore ways to make the most of this new platform that we possibly can. And to do that, we'd love to gather some feedback from all of you.

Congratulations to our first woman CURE champion!
This past week, women made history in more ways than one. In our world of Scrabble, 5-time CURE participant Terry Kang Rau became the first woman to win a CURE tournament.
