Director: Terry Kang
Games: 17 (full round robin)
Entry fee: $250 for CoCo Premium Members, $265 for all others. The director is donating all meals, including two breakfasts, two lunches, dinner Saturday night, and snacks.
Capacity: 18 players
Prizes: Generous prizes will be awarded to the top finishers. First place is guaranteed to win $2,500!
Rating: This tournament will be rated by both the CoCo and the World English-Language Scrabble Players' Association (WESPA).
Qualification: All entrants must have attained a CoCo and/or WESPA rating of at least 1850 within the last 10 years to enter this tournament. (Other elite players who lack an established CoCo or WESPA rating may be considered at the director's discretion.)
Refund policy: Full refunds (minus $5 to cover transaction costs) are available until April 20.
Schedule: Games begin at 9:30 a.m. each day. Players will play 9 games on Saturday and 8 games on Sunday.
Lodging: The director is offering lodging for players in her spacious house at no additional charge. Contact the director for more details on lodging in the house.
Location: The house is located about 15 minutes from the Albany airport. Amtrak trains from NYC and New Jersey provide easy access to Albany. Prior to the event, the director will email all registered players with the street address. Contact the director if you’d like to know the street address sooner.
Accessibility: This venue requires players to ascend a few stairs. If you have questions or need assistance related to accessibility, please don’t hesitate to contact the director. We are committed to making the tournament as accessible to all players as possible.
